Facebook - How i hate thee

Cant live with it, cant live without it.

Being a teenager, facebook is the pinnacle in arranging days out with other individuals or big groups, finding out news or weather posted by other users, or just general chit chat. However, facebook has destroyed the privacy for its users.

Information shared can be seen by anyone who dares look. I don’t know about other users but this creates problems for me. Il be honest, there isn’t a better way in sharing the most basic of information so friends, present, past and future all around the world can stay in contact, but is this really necessary? Sure I’d like to think staying in contact is a must with any friendship but this isn’t always the case. Privacy is important between friends or relatives. Granted, boundaries such as this are different between people but I don’t like the idea of ‘friends’ telling heartless relatives about the mistakes/ and or what Ive been up to.

It comes to a point where you share information about yourself, which leads to others sharing information about you. We all do it, its the social norm. Mostly harmless, but could bring chaos. We don’t think about these aspects enough to understand the faults we initially make sharing such information, but as human beings, we can’t help ourselves. Not realising what we’ve done till the point of destruction.
